This Purple People Eater Smoothie Recipe is a delicious and nutritious blend of blueberries, blackberries, banana, almond milk, and Greek yogurt that’s perfect for a quick breakfast or post-workout snack.
Ingredients
Fruit:
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen blackberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
Liquid & Dairy:
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
Extras:
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice cubes as needed
Instructions
- Add Ingredients: Add the blueberries, blackberries, banana, almond milk, yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract to a blender.
- Blend: Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust Consistency: Add a few ice cubes and blend again if a thicker consistency is desired.
- Taste and Serve: Taste and adjust sweetness. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and maple syrup.
- Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder for a post-workout boost.
- You can also add a handful of spinach—the berries will mask the color and flavor.
