Description

Ingredients

Pumpkin Filling:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin purée
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for sprinkling)
  • Optional Glaze:
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tsp milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a bowl, combine pumpkin purée, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Assemble the pastries: Roll out the puff pastry, spread filling, place the second pastry sheet, cut into strips, twist, and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake: Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with sugar, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  5. Optional glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, then drizzle over cooled pastries.

Notes

  • You can add chopped pecans or mini chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
  • Best served fresh but can be reheated in a low oven.
