Ingredients
Pizza Dough & Sauce
- 1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
- 1 cup pizza sauce
Fillings
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
Toppings & Seasonings
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Other
- Nonstick cooking spray (for greasing the pan)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a bundt pan or a round baking dish with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Dough Pieces: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into small squares approximately 1 1/2 inches each. This size allows even cooking and easy pull-apart bites.
- Toss with Fillings: Place the dough squares into a large bowl. Add the pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, and sliced pepperoni. Gently toss the mixture until all pieces are evenly coated with sauce and toppings.
- Transfer to Pan: Spoon the dough mixture into the prepared bundt pan, spreading it evenly to fill all spaces for an even bake.
- Melted Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Drizzle this flavorful mixture evenly over the dough pieces in the pan to infuse additional taste and promote browning.
- Add Parmesan Cheese: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top for a savory finish.
- Bake: Place the bundt pan in the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the pizza rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Rest and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the rolls to rest for 5 minutes. Then invert the pan onto a serving plate to release the pull-apart pizza rolls. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
Notes
- You can customize these rolls by adding cooked sausage, olives, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- If the top starts browning too quickly during baking, loosely cover the pan with foil for the last 10 minutes to prevent burning.
- Make sure to let the rolls rest before inverting to avoid breaking apart prematurely.
- Using a bundt pan helps create the signature pull-apart shape but a round baking dish can be substituted.
