Description

Pull-apart cheeseburger sliders are the ultimate party snack or weeknight dinner. Made with soft slider buns filled with juicy seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and classic burger toppings, then brushed with a buttery glaze, they’re baked to golden perfection and served warm for easy sharing.

Ingredients

Beef Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Slider Assembly

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced onion (optional)

Butter Glaze & Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried onion flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef together with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease from the pan.
  3. Add Sauce and Simmer: Stir in ketchup and yellow mustard into the cooked beef and let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  4. Prepare Slider Buns: Without separating the individual rolls, slice the slider buns horizontally in half. Place the bottom halves evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Assemble Sliders: Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the buns. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef, then add diced pickles and optional diced onions for extra flavor and texture.
  6. Top and Glaze: Place the top halves of the buns over the filling. Melt the butter and brush it generously over the tops of the buns. Sprinkle sesame seeds and optional dried onion flakes over the buttered tops for added flavor and crunch.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the sliders to heat through.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes uncovered to let the tops of the buns turn golden brown and slightly crispy.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve the sliders warm by pulling them apart for easy sharing and enjoying.

Notes

  • You can customize the sliders by adding bacon, sautéed mushrooms, or using different types of cheese for varied flavors.
  • These sliders reheat well in the oven, making them perfect for game day, potlucks, or family dinners.
