Description

This Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole is a comforting and creamy dish that’s perfect for a family meal. Tender chicken is mixed with a flavorful sauce, topped with a buttery cracker crust, and baked until golden and bubbly.


Ingredients

Main Dish:

  • 4 cups cooked chicken (shredded or chopped)
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds

Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed buttery round crackers (about 1 sleeve)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix Chicken Mixture: Combine chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and poppy seeds in a bowl. Spread in the baking dish.
  3. Prepare Topping: Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the chicken mixture.
  4. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.

  • Rotisserie chicken can be used for convenience.
