Description
This Pizza Grilled Cheese combines the gooey satisfaction of grilled cheese with the bold flavors of pepperoni pizza. Crispy on the outside and melty on the inside, it’s the perfect quick comfort meal.
Ingredients
- 2 slices white bread (or sourdough, Texas toast)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 3 slices mozzarella cheese (or fresh mozzarella)
- 12 slices pepperoni
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (or marinara), warmed
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix softened butter with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
- Spread butter mixture on one side of each bread slice.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, into the skillet.
- Layer with 1 slice of mozzarella, 6 slices of pepperoni, another mozzarella slice, 6 more pepperoni slices, and a final slice of mozzarella.
- Top with second bread slice, butter side up.
- Cook for 3–5 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden and cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For a meatless version, replace pepperoni with mushrooms or olives.
- Use a panini press for an even crisp and melt.
- Try other cheeses like provolone or cheddar for variety.
