Description

This Pepperoni Pizza Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and flavorful appetizer that combines classic pizza flavors in a warm, bubbly dip. Perfect for parties and gatherings, it features a blend of cream cheese, sour cream, pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese, seasoned with Italian herbs and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

Cheeses & Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Mix Base Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and pizza sauce together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Add Cheeses and Pepperoni: Gently fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped pepperoni, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the mixture into a small baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  6. Add Extra Toppings and Finish Baking: Optionally, sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top. Bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts and toppings warm through.
  7. Serve Warm: Remove from oven and serve the dip warm alongside breadsticks, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • For added heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes into the dip mixture or on top before baking.
  • Use a non-stick or lightly greased baking dish to prevent sticking.
  • Allow the dip to cool slightly before serving to avoid burns.
  • This dip can be prepared in advance and baked just before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
