Description

Peanut Butter Lasagna is a delicious no-bake dessert featuring layers of crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, creamy peanut butter, rich chocolate pudding, and fluffy whipped topping. This easy-to-make layered dessert combines the flavors of chocolate and peanut butter for a perfect indulgent treat that requires no oven time and is ideal for summer or anytime you crave a sweet, creamy delight.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed (divided)

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
  • Mini chocolate chips or shaved chocolate for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies with the melted butter until the mixture is evenly moistened. Press this cookie mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust layer.
  2. Make the peanut butter layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in half of the whipped topping gently until just combined. Spread this peanut butter mixture evenly over the cookie crust in the dish.
  3. Prepare the pudding layer: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mixes with the cold milk for about 2 minutes or until the pudding begins to thicken. Pour this pudding evenly over the peanut butter layer, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
  4. Top with whipped topping and garnish: Gently spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer to create a smooth top layer. Sprinkle chopped peanuts and mini chocolate chips or shaved chocolate over the whipped topping to add texture and garnish.
  5. Chill to set: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 4 hours, or until the layers are set and firm. This chilling time allows the flavors to meld perfectly.
  6. Serve: Slice into 12 portions and serve chilled for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For an added crunch, you can mix some chopped peanuts into the crust before pressing it into the dish.
  • Drizzling melted peanut butter or chocolate sauce over the top before serving adds extra flavor and presentation appeal.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days to maintain freshness.
