Description

Indulge in the irresistible combination of rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter with these decadent Peanut Butter Cup Brownies. Fudgy, sweet, and perfectly nutty, these brownies are a treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Brownie Batter:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Toppings:

  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 12 mini peanut butter cups, chopped
  • ¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Layering: Pour half the batter into the pan, top with spoonfuls of peanut butter, swirl lightly, and sprinkle chopped peanut butter cups and chocolate chips.
  5. Finish baking: Pour remaining batter over the toppings, spread evenly, and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the brownies cool completely before slicing and enjoying.

Notes

  • For extra peanut flavor, swirl an additional tablespoon of peanut butter on top before baking.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
