Ingredients
For the cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
For the frosting:
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking pans.
- Prepare the cake batter: Mix dry ingredients, cream butter and peanut butter, add sugar, eggs, vanilla, and flour mixture with milk.
- Bake the cake: Pour batter into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes until done.
- Make the frosting: Beat butter and peanut butter, add sugar, vanilla, and cream/milk to reach desired consistency.
- Frost the cake: Frost the cooled cake and serve.
