Description

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk

For the frosting:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking pans.
  2. Prepare the cake batter: Mix dry ingredients, cream butter and peanut butter, add sugar, eggs, vanilla, and flour mixture with milk.
  3. Bake the cake: Pour batter into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes until done.
  4. Make the frosting: Beat butter and peanut butter, add sugar, vanilla, and cream/milk to reach desired consistency.
  5. Frost the cake: Frost the cooled cake and serve.
