Description

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in bananas, milk, and vanilla.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add gradually to wet mixture.
  4. Add Nuts: Fold in chopped pecans if desired.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
