Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional:
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in bananas, milk, and vanilla.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add gradually to wet mixture.
- Add Nuts: Fold in chopped pecans if desired.
- Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
