Ingredients
Pasta:
- 8 oz pasta (such as penne or spaghetti)
Other Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 5 oz fresh spinach (roughly chopped)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup pasta water (reserved)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
- Sauté Aromatics: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute.
- Add Spinach: Stir in chopped spinach, cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Combine: Add drained pasta to the skillet with reserved pasta water. Toss to coat the pasta.
