For the Chow Mein:

  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add cabbage, carrots, celery, and onion. Stir fry for about 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper.
  4. Combine Everything: Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the noodles and vegetables. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  5. Serve: Serve the Panda Express Chow Mein hot as a delicious side dish or main course.
