Ingredients
Crust:
- 1 box (14 oz) vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Layers:
- 1½ quarts orange sherbet, softened
- 1½ quarts vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
- 1 tsp orange zest (optional for garnish)
- Orange slices or sprinkles, for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, mix the crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form a crust. Freeze for 15 minutes to set.
- Add the Sherbet: Spread the softened orange sherbet evenly over the crust and return to the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Layer the Ice Cream: Spread the softened vanilla ice cream over the sherbet layer and freeze for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
- Finish with Topping: Once set, spread the whipped topping over the ice cream layer. Garnish with orange zest, slices, or sprinkles if desired. Freeze for an additional 2 hours before slicing and serving.
