Description

These Orange Creamsicle Cookies are a delightful treat that combines the flavors of zesty orange and creamy white chocolate in a soft, chewy cookie. Perfect for citrus lovers or as a refreshing summer dessert.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest (from about 2 oranges)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Additions:

  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice until well combined.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  5. Bake: Scoop the dough into rounded tablespoons and place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until the edges are just golden.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a more intense orange flavor, add a few drops of orange extract or a bit more zest.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
