Description

These Orange Creamsicle Cookies are a delightful treat that combines the refreshing citrus flavors of orange with creamy white chocolate. Perfect for a summer day or any time you crave a burst of citrusy sweetness.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest (from about 2 oranges)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice until smooth.
  4. Combine and bake: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in white chocolate chips. Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls on baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • For an extra citrus boost, add a few drops of orange extract.
  • Dough can be chilled for a thicker cookie.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
