Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream (plus more for brushing)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: coarse sugar for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cardamom, salt, and orange zest.
