Ingredients
- 14 oz kielbasa, sliced into rounds
- 12 oz short pasta (penne, rotini, or rigatoni)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven, sauté the sliced kielbasa over medium heat until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Add diced onion to the same pot and cook until translucent. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Add dry pasta and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Return kielbasa to the pot and mix well.
- Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, use hot kielbasa or add red pepper flakes.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, or peas for extra nutrition.
- For a lower-dairy version, use almond milk and reduce the cheese.
