Description

This creamy, smoky, cheesy kielbasa pasta is the ultimate one-pot comfort meal. Ready in about 30 minutes, it’s a flavorful and satisfying dish perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 12 oz short pasta (penne, rotini, or rigatoni)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven, sauté the sliced kielbasa over medium heat until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add diced onion to the same pot and cook until translucent. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Add dry pasta and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Return kielbasa to the pot and mix well.
  5. Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, use hot kielbasa or add red pepper flakes.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, or peas for extra nutrition.
  • For a lower-dairy version, use almond milk and reduce the cheese.
