Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar, 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 3 cups whole milk, 4 large egg yolks, 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Prepare Chocolate Filling: In a saucepan, whisk sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt. Slowly add milk, cook until thickened.
- Temper Egg Yolks: Beat egg yolks. Gradually mix hot chocolate mixture with yolks, then return to heat and cook until glossy.
