Ingredients
For the Oat Base:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the Fudge Layer:
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Mix Oat Base: Cream 1 cup butter and brown sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Mix in oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Layer and Bake: Press most of the oat mixture into the pan. Melt together condensed milk, chocolate, butter, vanilla, and salt; spread over the oat base. Drop spoonfuls of reserved oat mixture on top. Bake for 25–30 minutes.
- Cool and Serve: Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
