Description

A rich and luxurious no-bake dessert inspired by Ferrero Rocher, combining creamy mascarpone, Nutella, crunchy hazelnuts, and crushed biscuits for a decadent chocolate-hazelnut experience. Perfect for celebrations, holidays, or cozy nights in, this dessert delivers an ultra-smooth texture with a satisfying crunch and requires no oven, making it an effortless yet impressive treat.

Ingredients

Base

  • 200g digestive biscuits or tea biscuits
  • 80g melted butter

Filling

  • 300ml cold heavy cream
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 150g Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 8 Ferrero Rocher chocolates, crushed
  • 50g roasted hazelnuts, chopped

Topping

  • Extra Nutella for drizzling (optional)
  • Additional Ferrero Rocher chocolates for garnish

Instructions

  1. Crush the biscuits: Finely crush the digestive biscuits or tea biscuits using a food processor or with a rolling pin until they become fine crumbs.
  2. Prepare the base: Mix the crushed biscuits thoroughly with the melted butter until the mixture is well combined, then press this mixture firmly into the base of a dessert dish or individual serving cups. Place in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the filling.
  3. Whip the cream: In a cold bowl, whip the cold heavy cream using a mixer until soft peaks form, then set it aside carefully to keep the texture light.
  4. Make the mascarpone mixture: In a separate bowl, blend together mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and Nutella until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and fully combined.
  5. Fold in whipped cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the Nutella and mascarpone mixture, taking care to keep the mixture light and airy without deflating the cream.
  6. Add chocolates and nuts: Incorporate the crushed Ferrero Rocher chocolates and chopped roasted hazelnuts into the filling by folding evenly until well mixed.
  7. Assemble the dessert: Spoon or pipe the prepared filling mixture evenly over the chilled biscuit base and smooth the top with a spatula for an even layer.
  8. Chill to set: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 4 hours to allow it to set firmly.
  9. Garnish and serve: Before serving, drizzle extra Nutella over the top and garnish with whole or halved Ferrero Rocher chocolates for an elegant finish.

Notes

  • For extra chocolate flavor, substitute digestive biscuits with chocolate cookies.
  • Almonds can be used instead of hazelnuts, or nuts can be omitted for nut-free preference.
  • Add a splash of Frangelico or Baileys liqueur to the mascarpone mixture for a boozy twist.
  • Serve in mini dessert cups or jars for convenient individual portions.
  • Add a layer of chopped strawberries or raspberries for a fresh, contrasting flavor.
