Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 12 slices deli-sliced ham
- 12 slices deli-sliced turkey
- 12 slices deli-sliced Swiss cheese
For the Butter Glaze
- 1/3 cup (76 g) salted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
For Serving
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Raspberry or strawberry jam, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Lightly spray a 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray to prevent sticking during baking.
- Prepare Rolls: Without separating the rolls, carefully slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves evenly into the prepared baking pan, creating a base layer.
- Layer Sandwich Fillings: Arrange half of the Swiss cheese slices evenly over the bottom rolls. Next, layer all the ham slices, followed by all the turkey slices, and then the remaining Swiss cheese slices. Finally, top the entire assembly with the upper halves of the rolls.
- Make Butter Glaze & Apply: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, and pepper until fully combined. Using a pastry brush, evenly coat the tops of the rolls with this buttery egg mixture to create a golden brown finish when baked.
- Bake to Perfection: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the tops of the rolls are toasted to a golden brown. If the tops begin to brown too quickly, tent with aluminum foil to avoid burning.
- Finish & Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and immediately sprinkle the tops with the powdered sugar. Serve warm with raspberry or strawberry jam on the side for dipping to enjoy the perfect sweet and savory combination.
Notes
- If you don’t have Hawaiian rolls, sweet slider buns can be used as a substitute.
- For a crispier top, consider broiling for 1-2 minutes at the end—watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Adjust the amount of powdered sugar according to your taste preference for sweetness.
- Leftover sliders can be wrapped tightly and refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat gently to melt the cheese again.
- Adding Dijon mustard or mayonnaise inside the sliders before assembling can add extra flavor.
