Description

Mississippi Sin Ham Sliders are a deliciously cheesy and savory appetizer perfect for parties or casual get-togethers. Featuring thinly sliced deli ham layered with a creamy mixture of cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, sour cream, ranch seasoning, and green onions, all baked inside soft slider buns brushed with a flavorful Dijon butter topping and sprinkled with poppy seeds. These sliders offer a perfect balance of melty cheese, tangy flavors, and tender ham, served warm for ultimate comfort and crowd-pleasing goodness.

Ingredients

Buns and Ham

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, Worcestershire sauce, and finely chopped green onions until smooth and well blended.
  3. Assemble Sliders: Carefully slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves evenly in a greased baking dish. Layer the deli ham evenly over the bottom buns. Spread the prepared cheese mixture evenly over the ham layer.
  4. Add Top Bun Layer: Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese filling, forming the complete sliders.
  5. Prepare Butter Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and Dijon mustard. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns. Sprinkle poppy seeds evenly on top for added flavor and texture.
  6. Bake Covered: Loosely cover the baking dish with foil to keep moisture in and bake the sliders in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Finish Baking: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the tops of the buns are golden brown and the cheese filling is fully melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven, serve warm, and enjoy these delicious, cheesy Mississippi Sin Ham Sliders.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce or diced jalapeños to the cheese mixture before assembling.
  • You can assemble the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate them; bake just before serving to save time.
  • Using Hawaiian rolls adds a nice sweetness that contrasts well with the savory fillings, but regular slider buns work perfectly as well.
  • Ensure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in the cheese mixture.
