Ingredients
Casserole:
- 12 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Topping:
- ½ cup crushed buttery crackers (like Ritz)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare baking dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix the creamy base: In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and cream of chicken soup until smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Combine chicken and noodles: Mix in shredded chicken, cooked noodles, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Spread into the baking dish.
- Add toppings: Top with remaining cheddar cheese. Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
- Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
