Description

Indulge in the creamy and flavorful goodness of this Mexican restaurant-style cheese dip. Perfect for parties, game nights, or simply as a delicious snack.

Ingredients

Cheese Dip:

  • 1 lb white American cheese (sliced or cubed)
  • 1/4 cup whole milk (plus more as needed)
  • 2 tbsp diced green chilies (canned)
  • 1 tbsp pickled jalapeño juice (from the jar)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt Cheese: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white American cheese and milk. Stir frequently until the cheese is completely melted and smooth, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Add Flavor: Add the green chilies, jalapeño juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine and continue heating until everything is hot and creamy.
  3. Adjust Consistency: If the dip is too thick, add an extra tablespoon of milk at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Serve: Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For extra spice, stir in chopped pickled jalapeños.
  • This dip reheats well in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of milk.
  • Great for nachos, tacos, or as a topping for burrito bowls.
