Ingredients
Cheese Dip:
- 1 lb white American cheese (sliced or cubed)
- 1/4 cup whole milk (plus more as needed)
- 2 tbsp diced green chilies (canned)
- 1 tbsp pickled jalapeño juice (from the jar)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt Cheese: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white American cheese and milk. Stir frequently until the cheese is completely melted and smooth, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add Flavor: Add the green chilies, jalapeño juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine and continue heating until everything is hot and creamy.
- Adjust Consistency: If the dip is too thick, add an extra tablespoon of milk at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve: Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For extra spice, stir in chopped pickled jalapeños.
- This dip reheats well in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of milk.
- Great for nachos, tacos, or as a topping for burrito bowls.
