Description

Marry Me Chicken is a creamy, savory chicken dish with a rich sauce made from heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan. It’s incredibly flavorful and perfect for a special dinner or a cozy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, parmesan cheese, thyme, and basil. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and coat them with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until heated through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or vegetables for a complete meal.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
