Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
- 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu
 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce
 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
 - 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
 
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
 - 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
 - 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or sriracha (optional)
 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for crisping, optional)
 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking, optional)
 
Instructions
- Prepare Tofu: Press tofu to remove moisture, then cut into cubes or slices.
 - Marinate: Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, maple syrup, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes. Add tofu to marinade, coat well, and refrigerate.
 - Cook: Heat skillet, add oil, coat tofu in cornstarch (optional), cook tofu until golden and crisp on both sides.
 - Serve: Enjoy hot over rice, noodles, or veggies.
 
Notes
- Tofu can also be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes.
 - Enhance with green onions, sesame seeds, or extra marinade as a drizzle.
