Description

Indulge in the cozy flavors of fall with these Maple Glazed Apple Blondies. A perfect balance of sweet and tart, these chewy blondies are packed with apples and warm spices, then topped with a luscious maple glaze.

Ingredients

Blondies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups peeled and finely chopped apples (such as Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Maple Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix until combined.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in apples and nuts.
  5. Bake: Spread batter in pan and bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool in pan.
  6. Make the glaze: In a saucepan, melt butter and maple syrup. Remove from heat, whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Glaze and serve: Drizzle glaze over cooled blondies, let set before slicing.

Notes

  • For added texture and flavor, try adding white chocolate chips to the batter.
  • Store blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
