Ingredients
Rolls
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 24 slices pepperoni
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Topping
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Optional
- Warm marinara sauce for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Assemble the rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles. Evenly place 4 slices of pepperoni on each triangle, then sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese over the pepperoni.
- Roll the crescents: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle tightly toward the tip to form crescent-shaped rolls. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Prepare the topping: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of each rolled crescent to add flavor and help browning.
- Add Parmesan: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered tops for an extra cheesy crust.
- Bake to golden perfection: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the rolls for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and the mozzarella inside is melted.
- Cool and serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side, if desired, for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the butter mixture or inside the rolls.
- You can swap mozzarella cheese with provolone for a different flavor profile.
- These rolls are best served fresh and warm but can be reheated in the oven or air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispness.
