Ingredients
Crust
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
Filling and Toppings
- 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (325°F if using a glass dish) to ensure even baking.
- Prepare Crust: Pour the melted butter into a 13×9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs evenly over the butter and press down lightly to form an even crust layer.
- Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust, creating a moist base for the layers to adhere.
- Layer Ingredients: Evenly layer the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts on top of the sweetened condensed milk. Gently press down with a fork or spatula to ensure the layers stick together.
- Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and bubbling.
- Cool and Cut: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan to set properly before cutting into 24 bars.
Notes
- Swap the butterscotch chips for peanut butter chips or white chocolate chips for a delicious variation.
- For a nut-free version, omit the nuts or replace them with sunflower seeds.
- Pressing layers gently helps keep bars intact when cutting.
