Ingredients
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Mac & Cheese Filling
- 2 cups cooked macaroni pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked crispy bacon, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Assembly & Cooking
- 8 large flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook, stirring and breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
- Prepare the Mac & Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni pasta, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled crispy bacon, ketchup, and mustard. Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Combine Beef and Mac & Cheese: Add the cooked ground beef to the macaroni mixture. Mix thoroughly to ensure the beef is incorporated evenly into the cheesy bacon pasta filling.
- Assemble the Rolls: Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean, flat surface. Spoon an even portion of the beef and mac & cheese filling along one edge of each tortilla. Carefully roll each tortilla up tightly like a burrito, tucking the sides in as you roll to encase the filling fully.
- Cook the Rolls: Brush the outside of each roll with melted butter. Place the rolls seam-side down in a preheated skillet over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, turning gently, until the tortillas are golden brown and crisp. Alternatively, you can air fry the rolls at 375°F for about 5-7 minutes until golden and heated through.
- Serve: Remove the rolls from the skillet or air fryer, let them cool slightly, then slice into bite-sized pieces. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce for a tasty and satisfying appetizer or snack.
Notes
- You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if preferred.
- For spicier rolls, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the beef mixture.
- Make sure to drain excess grease from the beef to avoid soggy rolls.
- Use freshly cooked macaroni and cheese for the best texture and flavor.
- These rolls can be refrigerated and reheated in an air fryer or skillet for convenience.
