Description

Ingredients

Brownies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Frosting:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix brownie batter: In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and cocoa powder, then stir in sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Incorporate vanilla, fold in flour and salt.
  3. Bake brownies: Pour batter into pan, bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  4. Make frosting: Beat together butter, milk, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Frost brownies: Spread frosting over slightly cooled brownies. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
