Description

These Lobster Thermidor Bites are a luxurious and elegant appetizer, perfect for entertaining or special occasions. Creamy lobster filling with a hint of Dijon mustard and Parmesan cheese, all nestled in crispy phyllo shells or atop toasted baguette rounds.


Ingredients

Main Filling:

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 shallot, finely minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cooked lobster meat, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Additional:

  • 15 mini phyllo shells or toasted baguette rounds

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add shallot and garlic, sauté until soft, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add Wine: Pour in white wine, cook until reduced by half.
  3. Make Sauce: Stir in cream, Dijon mustard, paprika, and lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thickened, 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add Lobster: Mix in lobster meat, warm through.
  5. Finish Filling: Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan, parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Assemble: Spoon mixture into phyllo shells or onto baguette rounds.
  7. Broil: Place under broiler for 1–2 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Enjoy warm!
