Indulge in the perfect blend of sweet and salty with this delightful Lemon Pretzel Dessert. A crunchy pretzel crust topped with a luscious cream cheese layer and zesty lemon pudding, this no-bake treat is a refreshing and satisfying dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

Pretzel Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

Lemon Pudding Layer:

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant lemon pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (optional)
  • Fresh lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pretzel Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press into a 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Make Cream Cheese Layer: Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over the cooled crust.
  3. Prepare Lemon Pudding: Whisk lemon pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Spread over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Top with additional whipped topping, lemon zest, or lemon slices before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the crust is completely cool before adding the cream cheese layer.
  • For a stronger lemon flavor, add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to the pudding.
  • Can be made a day ahead for convenience.
