Description

This Lemon Pepper Chicken and Asparagus recipe is a delightful and easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken strips with crisp asparagus, all seasoned with zesty lemon pepper and garlic. A perfect one-pan meal for a quick and healthy dinner.


Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips or bite-sized pieces

Asparagus:

  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

Seasoning:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon

Garnish:

  • Lemon slices and chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Chicken: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet. Add chicken, season with lemon pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 6–8 minutes until browned. Set aside.
  2. Cook Asparagus: In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and butter. Cook asparagus for 4–5 minutes until tender.
  3. Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the pan, add lemon juice and zest. Toss everything until heated through. Serve garnished with lemon slices and parsley.

Notes

  • Serve with rice, quinoa, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
  • You can use green beans or broccoli as a substitute for asparagus.
