Description

Indulge in the creamy, gooey goodness of Lemon Curd Herbed Baked Brie, a delightful appetizer that combines the richness of Brie cheese with the zesty flavor of lemon curd and aromatic herbs, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

Brie Cheese:

1 wheel (8 ounces)

Lemon Curd:

3 tablespoons

Herbs:

1 teaspoon each of chopped fresh thyme, rosemary, and parsley

Nuts:

1 tablespoon chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Honey:

1 tablespoon (optional)

Puff Pastry:

1 sheet, thawed if frozen

Egg Wash:

1 egg

For Serving:

Crackers or sliced baguette

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Pastry: Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Place the Brie in the center of the pastry.
  3. Add Ingredients: Spread lemon curd over the Brie, sprinkle with herbs and nuts, if using. Fold pastry over Brie, trim excess, and seal.
  4. Brush with Egg Wash: Brush pastry with beaten egg. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Cool and Serve: Let cool for 5–10 minutes. Drizzle with honey if desired. Serve warm with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

  • You can bake the Brie in a dish instead of puff pastry for a quicker version.
  • Adjust herbs to your preference or add a touch of chili flakes for spice.
