  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring to a simmer and reduce slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and return the chicken to the pan. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
