Description
A zesty and creamy lemon chicken pasta that’s perfect for a light yet satisfying meal. Tender chicken breast is paired with pasta and a rich lemon-garlic cream sauce.

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, and Parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add lemon zest and juice to the sauce. Stir well to combine.
- Return chicken to the skillet and add the cooked pasta. Toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and well mixed.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor.
- You can substitute chicken with shrimp for a seafood version.
- Adjust the lemon juice amount to your taste preference.
