A zesty and spicy grilled chicken dish marinated with lemon juice and barbecue spices, perfect for summer cookouts.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp honey (optional, for sweetness)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, barbecue sauce, garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and honey.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and nicely charred.
- Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more cayenne or a dash of hot sauce to the marinade.
- This recipe also works well with chicken thighs or wings.
- Serve with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
