Description

This Layered Cream Cheese and Salsa Dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for any gathering. Creamy, tangy, and with a hint of spice, it’s a delicious snack that’s easy to make and even easier to enjoy.

Ingredients

Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon taco seasoning

Layered Toppings:

  • 1 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Cream Cheese Layer: In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth and well combined.
  2. Layering: Spread the cream cheese mixture in the bottom of a serving dish. Spoon salsa over the cream cheese layer, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Top with green onions, black olives, and diced tomatoes.
  3. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version.
  • For extra heat, use a spicy salsa or add diced jalapeños.
  • This dip can be prepared a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
