Description

Indulge in the sweet and gooey goodness of King’s Hawaiian Cinnamon Rolls. These easy-to-make, pull-apart sweet rolls are perfect for breakfast or dessert. The warm, cinnamon-spiced treat topped with a cream cheese glaze will have your taste buds dancing with delight.

Ingredients

For the Rolls:

  • 1 package (12-count) King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice the rolls: Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls horizontally as a whole slab without separating them. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Make the cinnamon spread: Mix the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl to create a spreadable paste. Spread this mixture evenly over the cut side of the bottom slab of rolls.
  4. Assemble and bake: Place the top half of the rolls back on and cover the dish with foil. Bake for 20 minutes until the rolls are warm and gooey.
  5. Prepare the cream cheese glaze: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Drizzle and serve: Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle them with the cream cheese glaze. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, consider adding chopped pecans or walnuts to the cinnamon-sugar filling.
  • You can prepare these rolls ahead of time and refrigerate them overnight before baking in the morning.
