Description

A deliciously cheesy and spicy Jalapeño Popper Crescent Roll Ring, featuring a creamy blend of cheeses, crispy bacon, and fresh jalapeños wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect as a party appetizer or cozy snack, this baked ring offers a golden crust and a flavorful kick with every bite.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 4 slices)
  • 23 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (adjust to spice level)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional Garnish

  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well blended.
  3. Arrange Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. On the prepared baking sheet, arrange the triangles in a circular shape with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the pointed ends facing outward, forming a sun-like ring.
  4. Add Filling: Evenly spoon the jalapeño cheese mixture onto the wide ends of the crescent triangles around the center of the dough ring.
  5. Fold and Seal: Carefully fold the pointed ends of each triangle over the filling and tuck them under the ring’s center to seal the dough and encase the filling.
  6. Apply Egg Wash: Beat the egg and brush it over the crescent dough ring. This will give the baked ring a beautiful golden brown finish.
  7. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crescent dough turns golden brown and is cooked through.
  8. Cool and Garnish: Allow the ring to cool slightly, then garnish with sliced jalapeños or chopped green onions if desired. Slice the ring and serve warm for best flavor.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeños according to your desired spice level.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
  • The egg wash not only adds color but also enhances the texture of the crust.
  • Serve warm for the best gooey and melty cheese experience.
  • Can be made ahead and reheated gently in the oven before serving.
