Description

A crispy, golden baked roll stuffed with savory Italian deli meats, gooey cheeses, and herbs, perfect for a quick and hearty weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet store-bought pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced salami
  • 1/2 cup sliced ham
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (blend of oregano, basil, and thyme)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
  3. Layer pepperoni, salami, and ham evenly across the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the meats, followed by Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a jelly roll. Pinch the seam closed and tuck the ends underneath.
  6. Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg and cut a few diagonal slits on top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
  8. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill the Stromboli to prevent it from bursting.
  • Ensure seams are sealed well to contain fillings during baking.
  • Allow resting before slicing to retain melted cheese inside.
