Description
These Irish Pub Burgers are a hearty and flavorful twist on a classic burger. Infused with the rich flavors of Guinness beer and topped with caramelized onions and sharp Irish cheddar, they’re perfect for a festive gathering or a cozy night in.
Ingredients
For the burgers:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 cup Guinness beer
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
For the toppings:
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices Irish cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
Instructions
- Prepare the burgers: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, Guinness beer, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Form into 4 patties.
- Caramelize the onions: In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Cook the burgers: Grill or pan-fry the burger patties to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium. Top each patty with a slice of Irish cheddar cheese during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Assemble the burgers: Place each burger on a toasted bun and top with a generous spoonful of caramelized onions. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the burger mixture.
- Feel free to customize your toppings with lettuce, tomato, or your favorite condiments.
