Description

These Hot Honey Garlic Flatbread Pizzas combine the perfect balance of spicy sweetness and savory flavors on a crispy flatbread base. With a blend of melted mozzarella and provolone cheeses, tender cooked chicken, and a drizzle of hot honey, this easy-to-make dish delivers a flavorful, quick weeknight dinner that’s satisfying and delicious.

Ingredients

Flatbread Base

  • 2 flatbreads or naan (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and arrange the flatbreads on a baking sheet, preparing them to be topped and baked.
  2. Prepare garlic oil: Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Brush flatbreads with garlic oil: Evenly brush the garlic-infused olive oil over each flatbread, ensuring every bite has that rich garlic flavor.
  4. Add cheese and toppings: Layer the mozzarella and provolone cheeses evenly over the flatbreads. Follow with cooked chicken pieces and thin slices of red onion. If desired, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes for heat and drizzle about 1 tablespoon of hot honey over each flatbread.
  5. Bake the pizzas: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges of the flatbreads are crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  6. Finish and serve: Remove the flatbreads from the oven. Drizzle additional hot honey on top and garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil if using. Slice and serve warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick and convenient protein option.
  • Add sliced jalapeños if you prefer extra heat in your pizza.
  • After baking, top with a few arugula leaves for a fresh, peppery finish.
  • Feel free to customize the cheeses or protein based on your preference or dietary requirements.
