Description

Indulge in the classic and irresistible Hot Fudge Sundae, a delightful dessert that combines creamy vanilla ice cream with luscious hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, and a medley of toppings.

Ingredients

Vanilla Ice Cream:

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream

Hot Fudge Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Toppings:

  • 1/4 cup whipped cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts or walnuts (optional)
  • 2 maraschino cherries
  • Chocolate sprinkles (optional)
  • Crushed waffle cone or cookie pieces (optional)

Instructions

  1. Scoop Ice Cream: Scoop the vanilla ice cream into two serving bowls or sundae glasses.
  2. Warm Fudge Sauce: Warm the hot fudge sauce in a microwave-safe bowl for about 15–20 seconds or until pourable, stirring halfway through.
  3. Drizzle Fudge Sauce: Drizzle the hot fudge generously over the ice cream.
  4. Add Toppings: Top each sundae with a dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, chocolate sprinkles, or crushed waffle cone if desired.
  5. Garnish: Finish with a maraschino cherry on top of each. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute the vanilla ice cream with any favorite flavor such as chocolate, coffee, or strawberry.
  • For a nut-free version, simply omit the nuts.
  • Homemade hot fudge sauce adds a richer flavor if you prefer to make your own.
