Description

These Honey Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish with a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors. The tender chicken is cooked low and slow in a flavorful sauce that will have everyone coming back for more.


Ingredients

Chicken Thighs:

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce (optional for extra depth)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Thickening:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken: Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. Create Sauce: In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Pour over chicken.
  3. Cook: Cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 2.5-3 hours until chicken is tender.
  4. Thicken Sauce: Remove chicken. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce. Cook on high, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Finish Dish: Return chicken to the sauce. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
