Description

A sweet, savory, and smoky one-skillet meal featuring shrimp, sausage, and broccoli tossed in a glossy honey garlic sauce — ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage (andouille or kielbasa), sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or thawed frozen)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tsp water (for slurry)
  • 1 tbsp oil (for stir-frying)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and sear until browned and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add a splash of oil to the same skillet. Add broccoli and stir-fry until bright green and tender-crisp. Add a tablespoon of water and cover briefly to steam if using fresh broccoli.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Add cornstarch slurry and stir until sauce thickens.
  6. Return sausage, shrimp, and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  7. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or on its own.

Notes

  • To save time, prep ingredients while shrimp thaws.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan — cook in batches if needed.
  • Adjust sauce balance to taste with more honey or soy sauce.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge up to 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
