Ingredients
Salmon Bites:
- 1 pound skinless salmon fillet (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)
- Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, ginger (if using), sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry if using. Set aside.
- Cook the Salmon: Season the salmon bites with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon pieces in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes without moving until browned. Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
- Simmer with Sauce: Reduce heat to medium and pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, gently stirring, until the sauce thickens and coats the salmon.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Serve over steamed rice, noodles, or vegetables for a complete meal.
- For a crispier texture, lightly dust salmon pieces with cornstarch before cooking.
