Description

These Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with tender salmon pieces coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce. This Asian-inspired dish is quick and easy to make, ideal for a flavorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Salmon Bites:

  • 1 pound skinless salmon fillet (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, ginger (if using), sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry if using. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Salmon: Season the salmon bites with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon pieces in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes without moving until browned. Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Simmer with Sauce: Reduce heat to medium and pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, gently stirring, until the sauce thickens and coats the salmon.
  4. Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Serve over steamed rice, noodles, or vegetables for a complete meal.
  • For a crispier texture, lightly dust salmon pieces with cornstarch before cooking.
