Description

Enjoy making these delicious homemade salmon fish fingers that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect as a main course or appetizer, these flavorful fish sticks are sure to be a hit with both kids and adults!

Ingredients

Salmon Fish Fingers:

  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Breading:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

For Cooking:

  • Oil spray or 1/4 cup vegetable oil for pan-frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the Salmon: Cut the salmon into finger-sized strips, about 3–4 inches long. Pat dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Prepare Breading Station: Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of panko and Parmesan.
  3. Bread the Salmon: Dredge each salmon strip in flour, then dip in egg, then coat in the panko mixture. Press gently to adhere.
  4. Air Fry or Pan Fry: To air fry, preheat to 400°F, spray fish fingers with oil, and cook for 8–10 minutes. To pan fry, heat oil in a skillet and fry fish fingers for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy.
  5. Serve: Serve hot with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or a dip of your choice.

Notes

  • Use skinless, boneless salmon for ease.
  • Can be made ahead and frozen before cooking.
  • For extra flavor, add dried herbs or lemon zest to the breadcrumb mixture.
